Services We Offer

RSI offers 24/7 services to Wyandotte, Johnson, Leavenworth & Douglas County adult residents who are in need of non-medical help for a mental health or substance use crisis.

We exist to provide care and treatment to individuals who are experiencing mental health or substance use issues that require immediate attention. We aim to quickly resolve the crisis, connect people with community-based services, and reduce the number of unneccessary hospitalizations and arrests.

When individuals arrive at RSI, our staff of mental health professional assess the urgency of their crisis then determine the next steps required to address it.

Sobering Unit

For those experiencing a substance use crisis, we provide a safe place for up to 10-hour stays and offer recovery support and referrals to other treatment services.

Crisis Observation Unit

Individuals experiencing a mental health crisis enter our crisis observation unit for up to 23 hours to help alleviate symptoms. We then connect the people we serve to community mental health centers for follow-up services.

Crisis Stabilization Unit

This service is available to individuals who require more care and treatment - up to 10 days - before they move to community-based care.

RSI is not equipped to deal with medical emergencies. For medical emergencies, call 911.
